ARRESTED AND TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

E S Bijimol, MLA, who has been fasting at Chappath in Idduki District for 5 days, demanding intervention of the centre in the Mullaperiyar issue, was arrested and taken to the hospital on Friday morning as her condition worsened. Three of her supporters who are also on fast were also admitted to the hospital. Though the district authorities had reached the place to arrest her earlier, Bijimol did not oblige.With Bijimol's arrest, her leaders will continue with the fast. At the same time the fast held by S Rajendran MLA reached the second day and by Roshy Augustine MLA entered the third day.
