CABINET DECIDED TO GIVE RECOGNITION TO 3000TEACHERS

CABINET DECIDED
TO GIVE RECOGNITION TO 3000TEACHERS

The cabinet meet on Wednesday,10th August,2011, decided to give recognition to 3000 aided school teachers who are not paid. 10,000 teachers posts would be made permanent and 4500 teachers who had lost their jobs after head count of students, would be re-appointed. Chief minister Oommen Chandy, while briefing cabinet decisions, said that the head counting system would be disbanded. The new teacher student ratio in LP school is 1:30 and in UP is 1:35. The term-protected teachers won't last further and instead of that teacher’s bank would be created. CM also said from now onwards, the system followed by managements of creating post and later getting recognition, wouldn't be allowed.
