Kerala's IT@School Project will now include parents of students and introduce them to information communication technology, as part of a 100-day state government programme starting in all high schools Aug 20,2011..KIT@School executive director Anvar Sadath said that a day-long ICT awareness session would be conducted first to give parents a broad idea of what this the programme is all about.'Through this programme, it is intended to educate parents on the ICT tools being used in schools in the state, besides making them ICT literate,' said Sadath.

Education Minister P.K.Abdurab will inaugurate the programme Aug 20 in Malappuram District. The parental awareness part concludes by Sep 13. Schools have also been instructed to submit reports of the programme online.
