COFFEE FESTIVAL
IN KOCHI, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM


Cafe Coffee Day (CCD), India's largest retail chain of coffee cafes, is organising a month long Coffee festival at its selected outlets in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. This is an endeavour to share the art of coffee making with its consumers, who can walk into the cafe and learn how to make a cuppa using simple coffee making tools like the plunger and stovetop espresso maker in their homes, Sam Rozario, Manager Cafe Coffee Day here told reporters here. Today coffee drinking is becoming more and more a part of our daily lifestyle and the requests we receive to learn this art is testimony to this trend, he said. Consumers can purchase their home coffee making kits, comprising of coffee making machines and coffee powdes to enjoy a similar taste like in the cafes at home from any CCD outlet in the city.CCD is a part of India's largest coffee conglomerate, Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company (ABCTCL) the first to roll out the 'coffee bar' concept in India with its first cafe in Bangalore. CCD serves the coffee it grows on the 7400 acres of its own estates and another 2500 acres of managed estates.

The group also sources coffee from 11,000 small growers, making its holder the largest individual coffee plantation owner in Asia.Cafe Coffee Day, has 1180 outlets across 175 cities, including 13 outlets in Kerala. Coffee Day's menu ranges from signature hot and cold coffees to several exotic international coffees, food, desserts and pastries. Besides, merchandise such as coffee powders, cookies, mugs, coffee filters are also available at the caffe.
