     Swami Athuradas founder of Athurashramam and Athura Seva Sangham (98) attained samadhi here Friday., 15th,July,2011. He was 98. Born Vasudevan Nair to Kunjupennamma and Chediyattu Ayyappa Kurup on June 19, 1913 Swami Athuradas entered ascetic life after becoming the disciple of Bhakthanda Swami. The Athurasramam in Kurichi was founded in 1936. The Homoeopathic college attached to the ashram began functioning in 1957. The college now also runs a research centre Centre Council for Research in Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy (CCRIMH).The ashram also runs charitable dispensaries and several working womens
