         BEST PERFORMANCE AWARD

  Moozhiyar power House, the second largest hydel power station in the state, has been selected for this years's excellence award, instituted by the kerala State Electricity Board, for best performing power house in 2010-11. Muhammed Ali Rawther KSEB chief engineer who was the deputy chief engineer at Moozhiyar during the period, received the award from electricity Minister Aryaden Mommed.
   The award is for overall performance achieved in terms of performance of the power station. Its safety aspects,beautification works etc. The power house is situated in the thick forests of Pathnamthitta district.
