ORACLE STARTED OPERATIONS AT TECHNO PARK

Oracle, an information technology(IT) Major, has started operations at Techno park inside the the Techno park Campus, the operations began from a temporary office. Fifty personnel the company recruited through campus interviews have joined the office for training. T. Balakrishnan, Additional chief secretary,IT and Industries visited the office on Thursday 17th June,2011.
Oracle, which currently employs about 28,000 IT professionals in India, has a big presence in Bangalore. Thiruvananthapuram is its first venture out side a metro. The IT major has the potential to generate huge employment depending on its level of operations. This ,in turn will depend on the availability of quality manpower.

The Oracle's arrival is a great boost for the IT landscape in Kerala and will help the state be globally visible as one of the most favoured IT destinations in India. It was in April,2011 Oracle signed a tripartite agreement with Techno park and Leela Info park to lease space. Oracle's decision to set up shop in Techno park is reward for the investment the Kerala government has been making in the IT policy. They extend their complete support to ensure that the company enjoys its stint in Kerala
