MUTHOOT PAPPACHAN GROUP WIND ENERGY PROJECT

Muthoot Pappachan Group believes alternate sources of power are the wisest solution for problems that threaten our very existence on our planet. For this, the Group has formed a dedicated venture- Muthoot alternate energy Resources. Several incentives and facilities offered by the central and state Governments of Indian to entrepreneurs harnessing wind energy have been utilized to the full potential by the group.
Muthoot Pappachan Group started the wind energy project in 1993 at wind farms located in Muppandhal village in Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu with an initial investment of Rs 8.00 crores. In 2003, the Group infused an other Rs 4.00 crores and generated additional energy of 0.825 MW in 2004.
The Total installed capacity of Muthoot Pappachan Group in wind power is 26.5 MW with a total investment of Rs 125 crores, Muthoot alternate energy resources has now extended its operations in to the adjoining wind prone regions of Thiruelveli district.It symbolizes the Group's resolve also contributes towards autonomy in the power sector for the nation.
