The information Technology sector in Kerala has broken ground in its search for new business opportunities in Denmark. A delegation of the Kerala It Industry headed by Ishita Roy, Director,Kerala State IT Mission, is currently in Denmark to facilitate business meetings for the IT entrepreneurs from the state. The delegation comprises IT industry representatives and State government officials.
A series of networking meetings and business interactions were organised by Kerala IT in partnership with Group of Technology Companies (Gtech) and Invest in Denmark' under the Ministry of External Affairs, Royal Government of Denmark. GTEch has identified emerging sectors such as clean technology, health, mobile applications, and life sciences as thrust areas for the IT enterprises in Kerala to partner with their Danish counterparts. The Scandinavian region has also been witnessing high ICT adoption and research and development investments in IT infrastructure that provide a unique opportunity for Kerala IT.
Experion Global, a Technopark-based company, clinched major deals with  Danish firms to develop mobile applications for the Scandinavian markets. This was initiated through a match making programme organised by Kerala IT and GTech in partnership with invest in Denmark. The programme was well received by the Danish ICT sector and a plan to establish joint venture projects was agreed upon by the both the Kerala and Danish ICT representatives.
