                  KERALA FESTIVAL IN PUNE CITY


    The myriad flavours of Kerala- its music,food and dance- are being showcased at the B.J Medical College grounds at the Keralavotsavam 2011, a four day cultural festval organised by the Pune MalayaleeFederation,the apex body of the 30-odd Malayalee Samajams representing the four  lakh strong Malayalee population in the pune city.
   Rajan Nair, president of the Pune Malayalee Federation,said" The objectives of the cultural festival are to foster close and harmonious relations between the Malayalee community and the locals of Pune and create awareness amongest various social ,educational,charitable and cultural activities and the Keralavotsavam which celebrates the bounties of Kerala,is one of them.
   The highlight of the Keralavotsavam,is the cultural programme to be put by the children. This cultural programme hopes to promote and encourage young talent. The cultural fest  was on at the B.J Medical grounds till May,2011.
