MILMA ERNAKULAM REGIONAL WING TO PRODUCE CATTLE FEED

    Ernakulam Regional co-operative milk producers union Ltd, one of the three regional wings of Milma, will launch an initiative to produce cattle feed at primary milk producers co-operative societies. The plan is to procure raw materials available locally and prepare a mixture for distribution among the members.
   Milk production has failed to meet the demand in the local market owing to various reasons. Many farmers and Farm experts have expressed concern over the escalation in the cost of cattle feed. Dairying has become an occupation with low returns, according to them. they say many dairy farmers have abandoned the field and migrated to other occupation in search of better returns. The programme would be launched on a pilot basis
