TRIBUTE PAID TO OLYMPIAN SURESH BABU

Olympian Suresh Babu
      Olympian Suresh Babu who died in Ranchi Institute of Medical Science on 18th February,2011. He was 58 year old,who was the chief-de-mission for the Kerala state team in the ongoing Jharkhand National Games. Suresh was admitted to the hospital around 10 am after he vomited  blood. He was declared dead by the doctor at 1.55 pm on Friday.   He was critically ill last night, and was put in the  intensive care unit. He had a chronic liver disease. His successes were due  mainly to the enthusiastic support of his family and his teachers at the Infant Jesus School and the Fathima Matha National College in his home town Kollam. He is surviving his wife Leena and two sons Sanibu Babu, Suresh Babu and a daughter  Silpha

     The mortal remains of Olympian Suresh Babu will be cremated at the Thycaud crematorium on Sunday 20th February,2011 with full state honours.
     Kerala bid a tearful adieu to Olympian Suresh Babu on Sunday night. The police fired three rounds in to air amid the sounding of buggle as Suresh Babu's mortal remains were taken to the pyre with state honours.
     The chief Minister has condoled the demise of Olympian Suresh Babu. He said the death of Suresh Babu was a irreparable loss to athletics in the state and the country. His contributions to the sports world would always he remembered.
   Kurakar cultural forum unit conducted a condolence meeting at Comrade Info systems Hall on Saturday19th February,2011 at 5 pm. Prof.John Kurakar Presided. Mr Sam Kurakar, Mr Bobby Kurakar, Prof Varghese John, Dr Mohan Kumar were spoke on the occasion.
