The Kerala High Court on Wednesday 19th January,2011 ,directed the state government to ensure that all engineering colleges in the state are run with sufficient qualified teaching faculty.
the Bench also directed the government to constitute an expert team of senior faculty members of government engineering colleges to conduct surprise inspection in all college to conduct surprise inspections in all engineering colleges in the state . If necessary, affiliation could be withdrawn or modified and alternative arrangement made for students to continue their study in other colleges. The court gave the government three months time to constitute a committee to get the first round of inspection done.
