SRI LANKAN INDUSTRIALIST SELVANTHAN HONOURED
Indian president Ms Pratibha Patil presented the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award 2011 to Sri Lankanindustrrialist Mano Selvanathan at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in New Delhi on Sunday 9th January,2011.Mr Selvanathan is one of the leading industrialist.He is an industry leader and one with extensive business interest in Sri Lanka and India. Mr Selvanathan has been instrumental in introducing Indian business to the island nation.He is the chairman of Sri Lanka's largest chamber of commerce.He was the founder chairman of the Indo-Lanka Cahmber of Commerce and Industry. His family trust contributes to a number of charitable causes in education, health care and care for the elderly. Mr Selvanathan is also recognised for his social work the overseas Indian community.
