NATIONAL TULU FETE

The Kerala Tulu Academy will hold the first National Tulu Festival in Kerala at Paivalige near Manjeswaram from January 14 to 16,2011.
    the festival will focus on the richness of the Tulu language and culture and high light the activities of the academy to promote the language.The mother tongue of a sizable number of people in northern most areas of Kerala and parts of coastal Karnataka.
     A seminar on the "Role of Tulu speaking people in the Freedom Movement" will be held on January 15. A meeting  on Multi- Language will be held in the evening. On 16th  a seminar on " Contribution of Tulu speaking people to the development of agriculture" will be held. Art and Culture programmes, including Tulu group music, Tuluyakshagana and Mappilapattu will be staged. The academy had earlier hosted Tulu festivals in Mumbai and the Kerala Capital city.
