TEACHERS TO GET LAPTOPS,NETBOOKS

          Under this scheme Teachers will get laptops and net books with concession rates. the laptop and the net book to be as integral part of teachers hand bag.The potential mass purchase of laptops or net books by teacher is expected to give a big boost to the information and communication technology(ICT) embedded teaching-learning system in Schools to which kerala is moving.

All high schools and higher secondary school in the state already have ICT equipment,including personal compuiter/laptops and projectors.Till 2009-10,over 7,500 laptops have been provided to these schools as part of the ICT in schools Scheme.In 2010-11,8000 laptops and 6000 netbooks will be distributed.

          The generation and sharing of digital content will also become much easier at the teacher empowerment"programmes that are organised each month in the state.
