98th INDIAN SCIENCE CONGRESS CONCLUDED
The 98th Indian Science Congress concluded at SRM University Chennai on Friday 7th January,2011.Mr Pachamuthu,Chancellor,SRM University delivered the valedictory address. The total expenditure of the science meet estimated of Rs 12 crore. The university had formed 26 committee to make theevent successful.
There were 17 plenary sessions and 14 sectionalprogrammes dwelling on the focal theme,including six lecturers by Nobel laureates,attended by more than 8000 delegates. the discussions held and resolutions made in the congress are appropriate in the context of education and research. Awards were presented to the best poster designs and exhibits at the conference.
The 99th Indian Science Congress will be held in Bhubaneswar during January 3-7,2012.The focal theme will be "Science and technology for inclusive innovation,the role of women"
