FANSA KERALA STATE CHAPTER MEETING

       The  Fresh water Action Network South Asia (FANSA)  was established in 2008 based on the felt need of the civil society organisations to ensure that their local experience and voices are represented at the policy-making discussion and fora. This south Asian net work is a member of Fresh water Action Network (FAN), a global consortium of civil society networks engaged in implementing and influencing water and sanitation policy and practice.
        The state level annual meeting of FANSA was held at Park Rajadani  Hall on 4th December,2010. The meeting began at 10 am. FANSA state secretary Dr Roy Kunjappy welcomed the members. Dr V.R Prakasam, Programme Director, center for community Health Research, Thiruvnanthapuram presided the inauguration function. Ms Arpita De, programme co-coordinator, FANSA secretariat,Hyderabad inaugurated the state meeting. Bindu Alex presented the annual report.
    The second session started at 11 am. Members shared their experience with FANSA state level members. After the Tea Break. Third session began at 12 am. The members discussed on" was scenario in Kerala' and planed various activities. Dr V.R Prakasam, Dr Roy Kunjappy Dr. V. Subhash Chandrabose, Prof John -Kurakar, Dr M.L Joseph,Prof T.J Johnson, Prof Jacob Varghese Panicker, Dr Saby thomas, Dr Abhilash. R, Dr K. Usha, Dr S. Usha, Mr Cheriyan P. Koshy were actively participated the various discussions.
      Lunch was at 1 pm. After the lunch the fourth session was began at 2 pm. The members discussed membership issues, Network strengthening systems and U.N Declarations.
     Valedictory function was at 3 pm. Dr Roy Kunjappy presented the future action plan. Ms Arpita De delivered her concluding speech. Dr Usha proposed vote of thanks
