98TH INDIAN SCIENCE CONGRESS AT S.R.M UNIVERSITY

   Students from Chennai and neighboring districts will have a chance to interact with six Nobel laureates at the 98th Indian Science Congress to be held at S.R.M University. 3000 delegates have already registered for the 16 plenary sessions of the science congress, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan singh. Nobel laureates Amartya sen, Venkataraman Ramakrishnan, Ada yonath, Thomas Steitz, Tim Hunt and Martin Chalfie have confired their participation. The focal theme of the 98 th edition of the science congress would be" Quality education and excellence in scientific research in Indian Universities"
     The Ministry of Human Resource Development had realized that the country would not achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation in the near future with out improving higher education and science education in particular
