ARUNDHATI ROY &KASHMIR SPEECH

ARUNDHATI ROY &KASHMIR SPEECH
Writer and social activist Arundhati Roy has strong views on the strife-torn and troubled valley Kashmir. Her speech about Kashmir is her opinion.. She has every right to exercise her right to freedom of speech and expression. But writers should not go for cheep popularity and should know the power of words is massive. Writers should use words wisely and carefully.
It is difficult to understand that why the Opposition parties finding fault with the Arundhati Roy’s speech about Kashmir’s Roy just expressed her opinion. It may or may not be liked the government, political parties, or religious groups. If you don’t like some one’s comment, simply ignore it, and express your comment or opinion through words or letter.
The Booker prize winner Ms Roy has become the voice of voiceless. It has been reported that the security forces have been involved in the killing of Kashmir is, disappearances of hundreds, torture, and rape. These incidents have led violence. The center should understand the feelings of Kashmir’s.
Freedom of speech is a fundamental right of all citizens, including Ms Roy. The statement by the eminent writer that the people of Kashmir live under one of the most brutal military occupations in the world is unacceptable. Writer should remember that Kashmir is an integral part of India. The government should take necessary action for the people of Kashmir to live peacefully, like others of an any integral state.
