VIDYARAMBHOM(EZHUTHINIRUTHU)2010

As many as 4,500 children were initiated in to the world of letters at a massive’ Ezhuthiniruthu’ ceremony held at Tirur Thunchan parambu,Malappuram on Sunday 17th Ocober,2010.
The ceremony marked the culmination of the Vidhyarambhom festivites organised by the Thunchan memorial Trust. Writer M.T Vasudevan Nair led a group of Malayalam writers in initiating children in to the world of letters at the saraswati mandapam. Long queues formed outside the Thunchan parambu much before the cremony began at 4.30 am.The ceremony continued till after noon.
Houndreds of children were initiated in to the world of letters at the vidyarambhom ceremony at places of worship, cultural centres, educational institutions and houses. Malayala Manorama organised vidhyarambhom ceremony. As many as 6,500 children were initiated in to the world of letters. Philipose Mar Chrysostum, senior metrapolitan of Marthoma church,performed the ritual for 50 children letters at the Marthoma Lower Primary School at kozhencherry.
