TRIBUTE PAID TO
 VERY REV.P.C YUHANON REMBAN
        Most Rev.P.C  Yuhanon Remban died on 25th September,2010. He was 60. He was the member of Bethlehem -Ashramam,chengamanad.He started his official arrear as a High School Teacher in Chovallur School . After five year,then he joined in St. Gregorios College ,Kottarakra as a lecturer in syriac. He was retired from service in the year 2006. He  was the chief Vicar in a dozen of churches near around  kottarakara. Under his leadership churches in kottarakara embaked on a new journey of expansion and modernisation. He encouraged young talents and helped many poor students to complete their studies.
        Rev. P.C Yuhanon Remban’s body,placed at Bethelehem Ashramam on 26th September for the public to pay their last respects. There has been a steady flow on mourners. Thousands from all sections of society especially from churches paid their last respects to the man who touched their life in various ways during his short public life.
        The special prayers at Bethelahem Ashramam were lead by Catholicate designate pauls mar Milithios and nearly seven metropolitans. Prominent personalities who participated in the funeral service include leader of the Kerala Congress Mr R.Balakrishna Pilai,MLA’s and leaders from across the state.
        Orthodox Schools and St.Gregorious College,Kottarakara remained closed in the after noon,Monday 27th September,2010.
        Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy,Kurakar Cultural Forum was arranged a condolence meeting at Kurakar Center on Monday 27th September at 6 p.m. Prof John Kurakar, President,Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy presided over the meeting. Prof Kurakar said Rev.Yuhanon Remban’s demise was a great loss to the community and the Education Institutions and various churches. Mr A.C Thomas expressed their grief over the demise of Rev. Yuhanon Remban.
