Pensioners under the banner of Kerala State Service Pensioners Union (KSSPU) Wednesday 22nd July, 2010 to high light their demands. The demands included a special medical allowances scheme for pensioners, welfare scheme for pensioners, and allocation of one month’s pension as festival allowance and enactment of a comprehensive pension law. The union has also demanded a separate department and ministry for handling the issues of pensioners, Pensioners should also benefit from the pay revision scheme.
