BRUTAL ATTACK BY ISRAEL
WAS CONDEMNABLE
Israeli commandos on Monday 31st May,2010 attacked a high profile Gaza-bound aid flotilla and killed at least 20 peple.Israel’s attack is outrageous. The ships were carrying unarmed civilians with relief supplies for the war ravaged people of gaza.The attack by Israeli commandos should be condemned in the harshest terms by the international community.Symbolic measures like recalling diplomates and ambassadors will not suffice. The U.N must hold Israel accountable for is wanton lust for violence.
The aid flotilla was in international waterswhen it was attacked. It had not only palestinians but also members from different countries, including a Nobel Laureate, on board. Israel’s argument that the demonstrates on board attacked its troops is hardly convincing.Amomg those locked up by the Israelis are a numbeer of journalists from around the world in condemning the attack on the flotilla.
The United Nations Securrity Council has condemned acts resulting in Civilians deaths during Israeli operation against Gaza aid concoy” and called for an investigation.
U.N Secretary GeneralBan ki-moon also stressed the need to have a full investigation, a call echoed by the council which asked for a ‘ prompt, impartial, credible and trasparent investigation conforming to international standards.
