TRIBUTE TO GIREESH PUTHENCHERY
Lyricist Gireesh puthenchery died of brain hemorrhage at a private hospital on Wednesday 10th night,2010. He was 49. Gireesh who has won the state award for the best lyricist on seven occasions,had written for about 400 films. Kerala people on Thursday 11th Feb 2010 bid a tearful fare well to one of its most famous sons. Gireesh puthencherry, the prolific lyricist who died at the age of 48 on Wednesday night. Thousands flocked to the town Hall where the body was kept for public to pay their last respects. Among them were his colleagues from Malayalam cinema.
