PLANNING COLLABORATIVE PROGRAMES
WITH INDIAN UNIVERSITIES
Many universities in Canada were looking forward to launching collaborative education programmes with Indian universities. India's vibrant economy and the steady economic progress of the country are now attracting students from foreign universities for collaborative programmes, projects and field trips to India. Students of development studies, humanities and social sciences, science and technical students were also opting India for doing projects and internships.
This is new trend that the Indian community in Canada. Not just students but Indian expatriates are also now looking home ward for collaborative ventures, starting new businesses, pursui9ng their interests or just retiring to their home country. The presence of Indian artists and personalities in the cultural and social realms of Canada is very strong. The exchange between the two countries will peak in 2011 when we celebrate the festival of Indian in Canada.
