BAHRAIN JOURNEY
The Bahrain Journey was started from Thiruvananthapuram Air port on 16th February 2010. Flight was Emirate Airline ( No 523 ) Time was 4.30 pm. We reached in Dubai Airport at 7.05 am. After one hour we get a emirate link flight No 837 at 8.30 am and reached Bahrain Airport 845 (Bahrain Time) .We get warm reception in Air port by members of Bahrain Chapter. They arranged Boarding and Lodging at WinsorTower Hotel, Room No 502.Mr AnilVarghese, president Bahrain Chapter, Mr Manoharan, Mr Mathai Chacko, Mr Kannan, Mr Riju Kurakar and Mr Ajith Varghese were visited our tourist home on 17th Feb: 2010.
The first day we visited Bahrain& Saudi Arabia Border, Mr Anil Varghese , president, Bahrain Chapter accompanied. The Chapter arranged lunch at Kalpaka Hotel and supper at central Coffee at Manama.
2nd day 18th February, we visited University of Science and Technology and Bahrain University, Kannan's Office, Transport Company, Anil Varghese's Office, oil well, Bahrain petroleum Refinery, Bahrain international circuit center and Life tree. Life Tree was one of the important and wonderful seen in Bahrain- and old big tree in the desert. Thousands of tourists from all over the world attracted and fascinated by the Life tree. Lunch was at Kalpaka.
St. Gregorios College Alumni Bahrain Chapter inaugurated
St. Gregorios college Bahrain chapter inaugurated on 18th February 2010 at south park old malayali samajam Hall. Indian Ambassdor Dr George Joseph inaugurated the ceremony. Prof John Kurakar and Prof John Kutty were the Guests. Sri Anil Varghese presided over the function. Mr Rajesh S. Pilai, John Iype, Johnson Bay, Mathai Pappachan were spoke on the occasion. The chapter arranged some cultural programmes like group dance, group song, skit, drama and kavya mela supper was arranged there at 10 pm.
3rd day, 19th February we went to the Bahrain Orthodox church and attended the Holy Qurbana. After the prayer we met Rev. Saji Mathew Thannimoottil, vicar of the church and participated a meeting there. 11 am we visited Mathai chako's house, Sabu Oommen's house, Baby Oommens's house, Satheesh Chandran's house, Aniyan Babu's house and George Oommens's house
4th day morning Mr Gigi john and his family visited. 10 am we visited Delmon fort, Bahrain Museum, Mereena Beach, Assiri Beach , City centre Chartered accountant Mr Charls Itty accompanied. Luch was arranged by Charles at Arabian food mall. 3Pm we visited children's park, Bahrain Malayalam Samajam. Mr Riju Kurakar and Ajith varghese were accompanied. 8 pm an executive committee meeting was arranged at Anil Varghese's house. 15 members participated Prof John Kurakar and Prof. JohnKutty were actively participated. Mr Anil Varghese presided.
5th day, 21st February , we visited some shopping centers and Ajith varghese's office. We met there Mrs Jinu Thomas, former student . Lunch was arranged Mr Ajith Varghese at South park Hotel. 2 pm we visited Kottapuram Benny's office, Sacred Heart Church, Mr Prasad Kuriyans house, Alex Oommen's house, Ancy's house and Sabu Oommens's house. Supper was arranged at Sabu John's house. 10 pm we reached our room Mr Manoharan, Kannan, Riju Kurakar and Jijo were help for packing luggage.
22nd February 7 am Mr Anil Varghese and Mr Kannan were came our room we packed every thing for return trip .They were accompanied from Hotel to Bahrain Airport. 9 50 am Emirates flight No 838 we started our return trip and reached Dubai at 12.10 pm more than eight hour we spend at Dubai Airport. 9.10 pm we started from Dubai through Emirate flight 522 and reached Thiruvananthapuram at 2.30 am on 23 rd
The Bahrain journey was memorable and unforgettable. We are thankful to the members of the Alumni Association Bahrain Chapter and Mr Anil Varghese, president of the Bahrain chapter for dedicated service and intimate help.
