OM PRAKASH AND S RAJESH TWO GANG LEADERS LOCKED UP IN POOJAPPURA CENTRAL PRISON
Om Prakash and Rajesh, two gang leaders wanted for questioning on the charge of destroying evidence in the case relating to the murder of business man Paul Muthoot George, were locked up in the central prison at poojappura on Wednesday 9th September 2009.
They had surrendered in a court in Tirunelveli district in TamilNadu on Tuesday 8th September 2009. The Tiruvelveli magistrate had ordered that they be produced before a thiruvananthapuram court on Thursday 10th September 2009
Paul Mutthoot was murdered on the Alappuzha Chengannaserry on August 22, 2009. The police said Om Prakash claimed that he had been a close friend of Paul’s for the past several years. Paul knew Rajesh through Om Prakash.
Director General of police Jacob Punnoose said the duo would be questioned soon by the special investigation team (SIT) probing the Paul murder case.
