CONTINENTAL AIR LINES & APJ ABDUL KALAM

CONTINENTAL AIRLINES &

APJ ABDUL KALAM

The staff of continental Airlines frisked the former president APJ Abdul Kalam, at the Indira Gandhi International Airport while he was leaving for U.S. can a former president of the U.S be treated in similar fashion?. Mr Kalam deserves praise for not making it an issue. The former president was treated in a humiliating manner by a foreign airliner in our own backyard is indeed unfortunate and condemnable All leaders have condemned the treatment meted out to kalam

U.S airline apologies to the former president, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam for frisking him at Indira Gandhi International Airport on April 21. The Airline authorities said that” We have tendered a formal apology to Dr Kalam, and we sincerely hope that he will fly with as again’

Though Dr Kalam has not commented on the incident. All former presidents and former vice presidents included in the list of vvip that is updated and issued by the BcAs are exempted from pre-embarkation security cheeks and frisking at Indian air ports.
