SIKHS PROTEST OUT SIDE THE COURT
(1984 ANTI- SIKH RIOT CASE)
A large number of people in the Sikh Community staged a demonstration out side the Karkardooma court on Thursday 9th April 2009 to protest the C.B.I “ clean chit” to congress leader Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 anti- sikh riot case. They carring placards action against Mr Tytler and Mr Sajjan Kumar. The protesters should slogans urging the congress to with draw their candidature for Lok sabha polls.
The Congress on Thursday 9th April 2009 evening decided to drop Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar as its candidates for the Lok sabha elections.The decision was taken by Congress president Sonia Gandhi in consultation with the party’s senior leadership.
The Congress is welcome. It shows its sensitivity to the feelings of the Sikh community.
