Millions join “ vote for Earth” 90 countries take part in Earth Hour ( 29th March 2009). A global event in which landmarks and homes go dark for an hour to high light the threat from climate change. Lights at landmarks in china, Singapore, Thailand and Philippines dimmed as people celebrated Australia first held Earth Hour in 2007 and it went global in 2008. 50 million people which started the event. One billionpeople will take part in this year. Nearly 90 countries are takin part in 2009
The organizers are calling Earth Hour ( 8.30 p.m to 9.30 p.m) a global election, with switching off the lights a vote for the earth and failure to do so a vote for global varming.
