St. Gregorios College Alumni Association Thiruvananthapuram Chapter Celebrates 'Onotsavam 2026'
Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram Chapter of St. Gregorios College Alumni Association organized 'Onotsavam 2026' with great fervor. The event took place on Saturday, September 5, starting at 10:00 AM at the YMCA Hall.
The meeting was chaired by Alumni Association President Mr. Narayanan Pandala and opened with a prayer song by Mrs. Tini James. Mr. Sam Kurakar, Secretary of the Alumni Association, welcomed the gathering.
The public meeting at 12:00 PM was inaugurated with the lighting of the traditional lamp by Mr. Vinu V. John, Senior News Editor, Asianet News. He was honored by the President, Secretary, and Treasurer on behalf of the association.
Prominent writer, journalist, and TV political analyst Dr. Mohan Varghese delivered the felicitations. He was felicitated and honored by Dr. P. V. John along with the President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
During the function, Mr. Aliyar, Mr. Mathew P. Babu, Mr. George John, Dr. Jero Varghese, Dr. Mohan Varghese, and Dr. John Panicker were specially honored.
Held on Teachers' Day, the event witnessed the participation of several dignitaries and members, including Mr. Sajan Koshy from the Kottarakkara Alumni Chapter, Dr. Jero Varghese from the Dubai Alumni Chapter, former Alumni Presidents Mr. Mathew P. Babu and Mr. George John, along with alumni members Mr. Venugopalan Nair, Dr. Sam Solomon, Mr. A. J. Cherian, Mr. Babu Ninan, Mr. Nizam, Dr. Saji John, Dr. P. V. John, and Mr. Babu Joseph.
Following the formal stage program, various cultural performances were presented by members, including a Thiruvathira dance by women members, a music program titled 'Madhurageethangal', and other cultural events. The celebration concluded with a grand buffet lunch.
