World Never Give Up Day is celebrated annually on August 18. It is a global observance dedicated to human resilience, determination, and the courage to keep going when facing difficult challenges or uncertain outcomes.Today is August 18 on the National Day Calendar, and we are celebrating World Never Give Up Day. This day is more than a celebration--it's a global movement that honors the often unrecognized but unyielding spirit of determination. On World Never Give Up Day, people around the world are encouraged to reflect on their goals, reignite their passions, and embrace the inner strength it takes to keep pushing forward.

The message of "Never Give Up" resonates across cultures and communities. It reminds us that resilience is a universal trait we all possess. Whether you’re working toward a lifelong dream, fighting through tough times, or simply getting through your daily challenges, World Never Give Up Day reminds us that persistence often matters more than talent or luck. Today, we are encouraging everyone to keep going--no matter the odds.

Never Give Up Day was founded by Alain Horoit, aka “Mr. Never Give Up,” in 2019. He initiated this amazing movement to celebrate perseverance and resilience after his own personal journey. Marked by challenges and setbacks, Horoit became inspired to create a day that honored the unwavering spirit of individuals who persist in the face of adversity. Through his efforts, he is becoming a world leader in spreading the world to never give up!In 2025, Alain submitted Never Give Up Day to National Day Calendar in hopes of making the day a permanent day on the Calendar. The Registrar at National Day Calendar approved the day to be celebrated each year on August 18. After careful consideration, it was decided Never Give Up Day would change its name to World Never Give Up day to reflect the fast growing movement around the world. passions, and embrace the inner strength it takes to keep pushing forward.
