is globally significant as International Olympic Day (celebrating the founding
of the IOC), United Nations Public Service Day, and International Widows' Day.
Historically, it is also notable as the date in 1894 when the International
Olympic Committee was established.23 June is Olympic Day when global sport
community marks founding of the International Olympic Committee in 1894, and
promotes healthy, active and inclusive lifestyle.
