Prof. John Kurakar is an eminent
educationist, writer, social worker, and cultural activist from Kerala, India.
With a distinguished career in teaching and public service, he has contributed
significantly to literature, social development, and interfaith harmony.
He served as Head of the Department of
Malayalam at St. Gregorious College, Kottarakara, where he inspired generations
of students through his academic excellence and leadership. Beyond the
classroom, Prof. Kurakar has been deeply involved in numerous social, literary,
and environmental initiatives across Kerala.
A prolific writer and blogger, he has
authored several books and maintains multiple educational and cultural blogs,
including “Window of Knowledge”, which serves as a platform for sharing
insights on education, society, and values.
Prof. Kurakar is also known for his
creative contributions to cinema and short films. He has written stories and
scripts for more than fifteen short films, including “Good Morning Doctor,”
“Thamogartham,” “Unaru Vegam Nee,” and “Darpanam.”
In recognition of his leadership and
service, he has been associated with various organizations, including the World
Parliament of Peace and Spiritual Science, Kottarakara Round Circuit Film
Society, and Edan Nagar Residents’ Association.
