Mr. John Kurakkar, who came to Amrita Hospital as a patient, is now a dear friend of mine. In fact, I consider him an admirer. When people are diagnosed with cancer, both the body and the mind tend to weaken. Mr. Kurakkar was someone who was suffering from a severe tumor in two vital organs—the thyroid glands and the rectum. Despite his illness, he faced everything with great positivity. He had complete trust in his doctors.

Even afterundergoing surgery, while lying in the ICU and spending weeks in the hospital, when an infection developed and the wound didn't heal, Mr. Kurakkar and his family faced it all with a smile, without blaming anyone or complaining. They endured everything with a cheerful attitude. It is common for patients in such situations to complain or blame others. I feel immense sorrow that Mr. Kurakkarhad to suffer such a serious illness.

I sincerely hopethat Mr. Kurakkar will continue to live a long, healthy life. I wish him all the best for his recovery.

With love,
Dr. Sudheendran"
