URI TRAINING FOR NGOs ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Participants of the URI - VYK - KSDMA training for NGOs with Sri. P. H. Kurien I. A. S, additional Chief Secretary of Kerala. Workshop was on Climate Change and Disaster Management for three days at Kompady, Thiruvalla. Resource persons included Dr. Sekar Kuriakose (Member Secretary, KSDMA ) Dr. Ajith of Emergency Health Care, Kolenchery Medical College, Pradeep Gopi Nathan Nair (Hazard analyst Officer, KSDMA ), Anu. S. Nair ( ADM, Pathanamthitta ), Dr. Kesav Mohan ( Former Director, KSDMA ), Oommen John, Dr. Spencer V. Andrews ( DDMA, Kollam ), K. R. Abhilash ( Station Officer, Fire and Rescue, Thiruvalla ), Rev. Dr. M. J. Joseph, Rajat Thomas ( Program Officer, V. Y. K, New Delhi ), K. G. Mathaikutty ( URI Executive Secretary, South India Zone) etc. Around 40 NGOs from three states attended.
