16 AMARNATH PILGRIMS KILLED AS BUS FALLS IN TO GEORGE IN JAMMU AND
KASHMIR

കൊക്കയിലേക്ക് മറിഞ്ഞ് 16 മരണം
Sixteen people who were on a pilgrimage to the
Amarnath shrine have died in an accident on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The bus carrying Amarnath pilgrims or yatris fell into a
gorge along the highway this afternoon. Of the 29 people who have been injured,
18 have been airlifted to Jammu and 11 have been sent to Srinagar
hospitals for treatment.The accident took place in Ramban along the
highway. The bus, part of the official Amarnath Yatra convoy, skidded off the
road and rolled down into a ravine. Senior Superintendent of Police in the
region, Mohan Lal said that the rescue operation was underway.

റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. ഇതില്‍ പലരുടേയും നില ഗുരുതരമാണ്. ജമ്മുശ്രീനഗര്‍ ദേശീയ പാതയിലെ റംബാന്‍ ജില്ലയിലാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്.വാഹനത്തില്‍ 46ഓളം തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകര്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍. അപകടത്തിന്റെ കാരണം വ്യക്തമായിട്ടില്ല. അപകടം നടന്ന പ്രദേശത്ത് സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍
രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്.കഴിഞ്ഞ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച്ച അമര്‍നാഥ് തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകര്‍ക്ക് നേരെ നടന്ന തീവ്രവാദി ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ എട്ട് പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. തീവ്രവാദി ആക്രമണത്തിന്റെ ഞെട്ടല്‍ മാറും മുന്‍പാണ് അപകട വാര്‍ത്തയും പുറത്തു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്.
