WOMAN GETS EXPENSIVE CAR FROM MOTHER-IN-LAW AFTER GIVING BIRTH TO A GIRL CHILD

പെണ്‍കുഞ്ഞിന് ജന്മം നല്‍കിയ  മരുമകള്‍ക്ക് അമ്മായിയമ്മയുടെ വക ഒരു ഹോണ്ടാ സിറ്റി കാര്‍ സമ്മാനം.

In Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur district, a mother-in-law could not control her emotions after her daughter-in-law gave birth to a girl child.Stranger than fiction, where women are brought down for giving birth to girl children, this mother-in-law has created history reacting otherwise.

Prema Devi is a retired health department inspector. She is of the view that daughters are better than having sons.Prema Devi's son is a government official at Hamirpur district headquarters and her daughter-in-law Khushbu on the other hand is a housewife.

According to an Indian Samwad report, Khushbu gave birth to a baby girl and Prema Devi hosted a small party to celebrate her granddaughter's birth.In the party itself, Prema Devi announced that on the festival of Diwali, she will gift a brand new Honda City to her daughter-in-law.

Upon receiving the generous gift from her mother-in-law, tears of joy rolled down Khushbu's face.Prema Devi said, "the practice of female infanticide can only end when daughters-in-law are treated as daughters. After all they're somebody else's daughters as well".

"If daughters-in-law are loved the way daughters are loved, they bring happiness to home."Khushbu says that she is extremely blessed to have Prema Devi as her mother-in-law. Even she is of the view that daughters-in-law should treat their mothers-in-law like their own mothers.

ചെറുമകള്‍ പിറന്നതിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തില്‍ നടത്തിയ പാര്‍ട്ടിയില്‍ വച്ചായിരുന്നത്രെ പ്രേമാദേവിയുടെ സമ്മാന പ്രഖ്യാപനം. ആണ്‍കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെക്കാള്‍ പെണ്‍കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളാണ് നല്ലതെന്നാണ് പ്രേമാദേവി പറയുന്നത്.മരുമകളെ സ്വന്തം മകളായി കാണാനുള്ള മനസ്ഥിതി വളര്‍ത്തിയെടുത്താല്‍ മാത്രമെ പെണ്‍ഭ്രൂണഹത്യകള്‍ക്ക് അവസാനം കാണാന്‍ കഴിയൂ. അവള്‍ മറ്റാരുടെയോ മകളാണെന്ന ധാരണയെ മനസില്‍ നിന്ന് ആദ്യം കളയണം. മരുമകളെ സ്വന്തം മകളെ പോലെ സ്‌നേഹിക്കുന്നത് വീട്ടില്‍ സന്തോഷമുണ്ടാക്കുമെന്നുമാണ് പ്രേമാദേവിയുടെ അഭിപ്രായം.

അതേസമയം തന്റെ അമ്മായിയമ്മ വളരെ സ്‌നേഹമുള്ളയാള്‍ ആണെന്നും ഇത്രയും സ്‌നേഹമുള്ള അമ്മായി അമ്മയെ കിട്ടിയതില്‍ തനിക്ക് സന്തോഷമാണെന്നും മരുമകള്‍ ഖുശ്ബു പറയുന്നു.
