U.R.I-
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY-2015 INAUGURATED BY HON SANTHOSH HEGDE, FORMER JUDGE
We
had a very colourful start for the URI 6th India National Assembly on 20th
November,2015,at the Ecumenical Christian Centre, Bangalore. It was inaugurated
by Hon Santhosh Hegde, a former Judge of the Supreme Court of India. We were
really blessed by the presence of so many luminaries including Global Council
Trustees, coordinators, theologians, academicians and guests."A life
living not for values is a life not worth living; when religions lose their
values, they are as good as dead" , was the essence of the inaugural
address by Justice Hegde.
All our trustees and coordinators offered short FELICITATIONS. I conveyed greetings from the International President and our Executive Director, in my presidential address. Biswadebji welcomed all and briefed the dynamics. Dr. Sudhir Mehta competed the whole session. Our new Liaison officers and all delegates introduced themselves and report and statement committees were appointed. We look forward to many fruitful sessions in the coming days.
Dr. Abraham Karickam made a special mention of the " Energising the Network Tool Kit", which is a wonderful resource for all the CCs and it has been designed and revised excellently well by Liam. Special thanks for that. Two copies were given to each CC.
