102ND HINDU RELIGIOUS
MEET-2014 AT AYROOR CHERUKOLPUZHA
The 102nd
Hindu religious meet, organised by the Ayroor Cherukolpuzha Hindumatha Maha (HMM), will be held on the sand bed of the Pampa at Cherukolpuzha,
near Kozhencherry, from February 2 to 9.T.N. Upendranatha Kurup, former
president of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) and the HMM, inaugurated the
work on the ‘pandal’ here on Thursday.The pandal would accommodate a lakh
people, HMM convener Hariharan Pillai said. Swami Kashikananda Giri, head of
the Anandavan Ashram at Kandivali in Mumbai, will inaugurate the meet. T.K.A.
Nair, Adviser to the Prime Minister, will preside over the function. Swami Udit
Chaitanya, renowned Bhagavathom exponent; Swami Rithambarananda, general
secretary of the Sivagiri Math; Kummanam Rajashekharan, Hindu Aikya Vedi
general secretary; Ma Jnanabhanishta; N. Gopalakrishnan; and L. Gireeshkumar;
are among the religious scholars who would address the meet.

Kerala
Kalamandalam Deemed University Vice-Chancellor P.N. Suresh will inaugurate a
youth meet to be held on February 6. State Women’s Commission Member J.
Prameeladevi will inaugurate a women’s meet on February 8. Swami
Poornamritananda Puri, general secretary, Mata Amritanandamayi Math; will
inaugurate the valedictory meet on February 9. O. Rajagopal, former Union
Minister, will deliver the valedictory message and M.P. Govindan Nair, TDB
president, will preside over the meeting.
