SRIKANTADATTA WODEYAR, MYSORE ROYAL SCION
KSCA PRESIDENT
Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar, scion of
the erstwhile Mysore royal family and President of the Karnataka State Cricket
Association, died following massive cardiac arrest at a private hospital on 10th December,Tuesday,2013.

the erstwhile Mysore royal family, died of a massive cardiac arrest at a
private hospital Wodeyar (60) was brought in a "non-responsive" state
and attempts to resuscitate him did not succeed, sources at Vikram Hospital,
where he was rushed, said.Wadiyar was earlier this month elected president for
the second time -- his first stint being during 2007-10 -- with former India
batsman Brijesh Patel as his secretary.The son of the late Maharaja Jayachamarajendra
Wodeyar, he was a former MP and had represented the Mysore Parliamentary
Constituency as a Congressman.wife Pramoda Devi Avaru is from the Bettada Kote
Ursu family of the former princely state of Mysore.Karnataka State Cricket
Association (KSCA) Tuesday condoled the death of its newly-elected president
Srikantadatta Narasimharaaja Wadiyar here Tuesday.“He was a very happy man when
we won the recently concluded elections. He had definite plans for the next
three years and was very keen to start implementing them at the earliest.“This
is really unfortunate. Our thoughts are with the family as of now,” said
Brijesh Patel in a statement issued by the KSCA.
