INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF KERALA- PARVIZ WINS SUVARNA CHAKORAM
The awards
were given away by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at the valedictory ceremony
held at the Nishagandhi Auditorium, Kanakakunnu,.Korean director Kim ki-Duk was
the chief guest at the function.Argentinean Ivan Vescovo bagged the Rajatha
Chakoram for the best debutant director for Errata. Siddharth
Siva’s Malayalam film 101
Chodyangal won the
audience poll award for the best film by beating Kim Mordaunt’s Australian film Rocket that led
the poll till the last leg.
Errata also
won the best competition movie award instituted by the International Federation
of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) while the FIPRESCI award for the best Malayalam
movie went to Kanyaka
Talkiesdirected by K.R. Manoj.The NETPAC award for the best Malayalam
film went to C.R.No:
89 directed
by P.P. Sudevan.Actor Madhu was honoured at the function. Minister for Culture
K.C. Joseph presided over the function.
