SCHEME FOR DIABETICS
District panchayat president S. Jayamohan has urged the District
Ayurveda Hospital (DAH) to undertake development activities promoting health
tourism.Inaugurating Jeevani, an Ayurvedic treatment scheme for diabetics, at
the hospital on Friday, Mr. Jayamohan offered funds from the panchayat for
tapping the tourism potential of Ayurveda.He said that efforts were being taken
by the panchayat to make the DAH a model Ayurveda hospital of the State.
Various development projects would be implemented in phases for the purpose, he
added.
The Jeevani scheme evolved by the State government in association
with the Indian Systems of Medicine Department offers free treatment to
diabetics.District panchayat health standing committee chairman C.P. Sudheesh
Kumar presided over the function.Proposal
