TRIBUTE
PAID TO V.K ERADI
Vettath Kumaran Eradi, a
palpable presence in social, cultural and spiritual sector, passed away in his
residence in Chalappuram on Thursday,5th September ,2013,. He was 89. He began his official work in
Binny mills as he was expert in textile engineering. Later he acted as textile
controller under the Nizam government in Hyderabad. He retired in 1979 as
chairman and managing director of India Tyre and Rubber Company in Chennai. He
returned to Kozhikode in 1980 and devoted his time for social work. He is
founder president of Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan, Kozhikode centre. He also acted
as state president of Hindu Aikyavedi, director of Nedungadi bank, director
Common Wealth Trust, executive committee member Kozhikode medical college,
President of Madras Presidency club etc. He is son of late C Krishnan Moosath,
district judge in Kozhikode and Kunjimalu Kovilamma. Wife is late Radha
Kovilamma. Daughters Geetha Ramachandran and Rama Narendran.
