Dr. Abraham Karickam went on an extensive expedition to Europe and America during 1980. He spent 3 months in Taize community France before heading to the United States of America. He could visit more than half of the American soil during this visit. The most important part of the American visit was a study tour to Pentagon in addition to visiting several American Universities. A number of important meetings were organised by Taize community in different parts of America and Canada especially for the student community.

This trip spanning over more than 6 months was an excellent opportunity for understanding the youth of the Western Hemisphere. From this book we come to understand the philosophy of the younger generation of of the Western world especially Europeans and Americans. The secrets of Pentagon, the wonderment of NASA, the magicalism of the Disney world and the natural beauty of Florida are unraveled before us and it provides a fantastic reading experience.
