TO REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL TUESDAY

 The  airport is to remain closed until 3.30 pm on,6th  August,2013, Tuesday. Almost all operations in the airport has been shut down. Officials said that water has seeped into the runway, which has prevented flights from touching down at the airport.Officials who had reviewed the situation at 1 pm on Monday, took the decision to shut down the air strip and cancel flights that were due to touch down here.Authorities have initiated measures to divert flights to other airports and bring Nedumbaserry-bound travelers by road or train.
