പര്വെസ് മുഷറഫ് അറസ്റ്റില്
The Pakistani governmemt Friday,19th April,2013 arrested former military ruler Pervez Musharraf from his farmhouse here. He was under house-arrest from Thursday evening onwards. Musharraf was Thursday ordered to be arrested by a court here in a case over the imposition of emergency rule in 2007, but evaded being taken into custody with his bodyguards whisking him away before the police could act. The Islamabad High Court rejected Musharraf's plea for extension of bail in connection with the sacking of over 60 judges during the emergency. 69-year-old Musharraf, who returned to Pakistan on March 24 after a nearly four-year long self-imposed exile abroad to contest the May 11 general elections, appeared in the High Court under a thick security blanket.

അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഫാം ഹൗസില് നിന്നും പോലിസ് അറസ്റ്റുചെയ്തു. കോടതിയിലെത്തിച്ച
അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ജുഡീഷ്യല് കസ്റ്റഡിയില് വിട്ടു.
സുരക്ഷാകാരണങ്ങളാല് ഫാംഹൗസിനെ സബ് ജയിലായി പരിഗണിച്ച് മുഷറഫിനെ അവിടെ
താമസിപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന് പോലീസ് കോടതിയില് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. മുഷറഫിനെ
കസ്റ്റഡിയില് വേണ്ടെന്നും ജുഡീഷ്യല് കസ്റ്റഡിയില് പാര്പ്പിക്കണമെന്നും പോലീസ്
കോടതിയെ അറിയിച്ചു. പോലീസിന്റെ ആവശ്യം കോടതി അംഗീകരിച്ചു. ഇസ്ലാമാബാദിനുസമീപം ചാക്ക്
ഷഹ്സാദിലുള്ള മുഷറഫിന്റെ ഫാംഹൗസാണ് സബ്ജയിലായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. ജാമ്യം നീട്ടിക്കിട്ടണമെന്ന മുഷറിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ ഹൈക്കോടതി വ്യാഴാഴ്ച തള്ളിയിരുന്നു. ഹൈക്കോടതി അറസ്റ്റുവാറന്റ് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചയുടന്, അംഗരക്ഷകരുടെ സഹായത്തോടെ കോടതിയില് നിന്നും മുങ്ങിയ മുഷറഫ് ഫാംഹൗസില് അഭയം തേടുകയായിരുന്നു. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച വൈകീട്ടു മുതല് മുഷറഫ് ഫാംഹൗസില് വീട്ടുതടങ്കലിലാണ്. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ അദ്ദേഹം അധികൃതര്ക്കു മുമ്പാകെ കീഴടങ്ങിയ ശേഷമായിരുന്നു അറസ്റ്റു രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയതെന്നും റിപ്പോര്ട്ടുണ്ട്. അതിന് ശേഷം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ മജിസ്ട്രേറ്റിനുമുന്നില് ഹാജരാക്കി. 2007 ലെ അടിയന്തിരാവസ്ഥകാലത്ത് 60 ജഡ്ജിമാരെ തടവില് പാര്പ്പിച്ച കേസിലാണ് ഇപ്പോള് അറസ്റ്റ്. നാലുവര്ഷത്തെ വിദേശവാസത്തിനൊടുവില് തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില് മത്സരിക്കാനായി കഴിഞ്ഞ മാര്ച്ച് 24 നാണ് മുഷറഫ് പാകിസ്താനില് തിരിച്ചെത്തിയത്. തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില് മത്സരിക്കാമെന്ന മോഹങ്ങള്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചടിയേകി കഴിഞ്ഞദിവസങ്ങളില് മുഷറഫിന്റെ പത്രികകളെല്ലാം തള്ളിയിരുന്നു.
