PARUMALA PERUNNAL-2012 CONCLUDED

The annual festival at the St. Paul’s and St. Peter’s Church, which houses the tomb of St. Gregorios, at Parumala concluded with a ceremonial procession (holy rasa) on Friday 2nd November,2012,  afternoon.The faithful from different parts of the State and outside Kerala thronged the church town to offer prayers at the Saint’s tomb.Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan Baselius Mar Thoma Paulose-II was the chief celebrant of the holy trimass celebrated at the Parumala church in the morning. Hundreds of people took part in the prayer of incence.Geevarghese Mar Coorilos led the holy Eucharist at the chapel attached to the Parumala seminary at 5 a.m.
The Catholicos and other bishops of the Church were escorted to the balcony of the Parumala church for the apostolic benediction of pilgrims in prayers on the church premises later.The Catholicos inaugurated the annual meeting of the Mar Gregorios Orthodox Christian Students’ Movement at the seminary auditorium at 12.30 p.m.Biju Jacob Alackapparambil, Accountant-General of Kerala, delivered the keynote address.Geevarghese Mar Coorilos, MGOCSM president, presided over the inaugural function. Augen Ramban, Parumala seminary manager, spoke.
