As many as 157 films would be screened in the
three-day fifth Kerala State Childrens Educational Film Festival, commencing at Thrissur tomorrow,14th
November,2012.. Out of a 157 films, 52 films were produced by children and
105 films were made for children by different schools and institutions,
Director of the State Institute of Technology, Dr Babu Sebastin told reporters
here today. He said the main objective of the festival was to encourage
the talented students in the field.
The best film produced by children would awarded a cash prize of Rs one lakh and a trophy. Best film produced for children would given Rs 50,000 and a trophy. Besides , outstanding films from each category would be awarded with Rs 10,000 , testimonials and plaques each. A workshop on 'film making and a seminar would be held on November 15.
